Arturo Herrera

Arturo Herrera is an American Mestizo artist from Honduras via Canada who is now living in Detroit. Herrera uses performance art, sculpture, and photography to explore topics related to the character and definition of transnationalism.

Herrera has presented his artistic work in scholarly institutions, recently, as a visiting artist at the University of Michigan, as well as in museums, such as the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Likewise, Herrera has received several awards, most recently a fellowship with the Intercultural Institute of Leadership.
