Arturo Herrera


Arturo Herrera is an interdisciplinary artist based in Detroit, Michigan. Herrera explores issues across national boundaries, including the politics of race and language, borders, and self-disclosure of sexual orientation. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in fine art in Canada, at the University of Windsor, with concentrations in sculpture, photography, and performance art.

Herrera’s most recent presentations include; the Detroit Historial Museum, as part of the show Looking For America, an event organized by the New American Economy, American University School of Public Affairs, and Previously, his work has been presented at the University of Michigan as part of Border Control, The New Media Caucus, Symposium, and at the Venice International Performance Art Week in Venice, Italy.
